Would anyone be interested/available to come over to our place this Saturday evening for a little holiday party thing? I know it's last minute ... so that's why i'm asking. Oh, and we can celebrate my new job too!!

Once upon a time there was a girl that worked at a print shop in San Jose. She was a very talented graphic designer and actually enjoyed going to work everyday. She had a nice co-worker that got her starbucks all the time and was fun to work with. The had fun everyday just working and making fun of dumb customers (not to their faces). These girls made a good team and were always busy with lots of printing work. They were not worried much about the bleak economy, they thought that their jobs were very secure, because the boss couldn't run the place without them. Then one day the boss said glumly that the company was not making a profit and he could not afford to continue to run the place. He tried to find investors or someone to buy the shop and keep it in operation, but he had no luck. So the two girls were faced with the challenge of finding new jobs in 2 weeks!

The end? Not really, but it sure feels like it.

I think everyone knows about Parker's Bday party coming up on Saturday, but what you may not know is that since tomorrow is Parker's actual birthday, we are going BOWLING as a little pre-party type thing! We are planing on going around 7:30 at the Palo Alto Bowl (time depends a little on what the specials are for Friday night). Anyway, the more the merrier, so let me know if you want to join us! We'll probably meet up at our place around 7-7:30 first and then head over after that... hope to see you all tomorrow and/or Saturday!!

So, back from Chicago. It was super fun, but busy too. I took just under 500 pics there! Anyway, more about all that later.

I start my new job tomorrow and I am anxious!! There have been guys in my living room playing GTA4 for about, all day now, so i guess i have that to distract me.

So, I am just chillin at gate 64 waiting to board my flight to Chicago at 4:20 (I know 420, haha). Anyway, we (me and Erin) are going to chicago for the big Delta Xi Phi National Convention. This is my first time visiting Chicago so that's cool, should be fun. We'll be back on Sunday and then on Monday I start my new job too... so much exciting stuff!!

So I'm 25 now. My birthday was last thursday. I'm not sure what I think about it, it's weird to think of where I thought I'd be in my life at this point, I think I thought I'd feel really grown up by now. Or maybe this is what being grown up feels like, and it's just not what I expected it would feel like? I don't know, just rambling a little, don't think I have a point ... I guess I feel like I don't really have my shit together yet, and I should. My brain is just all over the place right now, it doesn't help that I don't really like my job and I have way too much time on my hands during the day, but since I'm stuck at work I can't do much but think about all the other stuff I should be doing or working on. I really need to work on more creative projects, I feel like I'm wasting my talent/skill/energy on a pointless job that I don't really like and feel super un-challenged at.

Ya, I sound hella depressed, but I think it's just a backlash from having so much birthday fun over the weekend with my friends, now getting back to the grind seems even less fun than usual. I've also been having some stomach cramp stuff going on since this afternoon, so that's made me a bit cranky.

Anyway, camping was super fun, but the weekend was way too short! Next time we plan a camping trip we should make it a 3 or 4 day weekend, and doing it a little later in the season when it's warmer would be good too! But all in all it was pretty fun :) definitely fun to do something different than we usually do. It's actually really great to have so many parks around so close to "civilization" but at the same time they make you feel like you're out in the middle of no where (in a good way). I hope everyone else had fun too!!
